Loose Broken Wire Behind The Airfilter

hello guys

i need your help with smtg. i just realized that i have a loose connector and i don't know what it is.

i found it in between the air filter and the brake fluid bottle

i am attaching some pictures.

i don't know what it is and how important it is for me to fix it. if it is just a sensor or smtg more important

Just a guess based on its location but I remember when we changed my fuel filter there was an electrical connection on the bottom of it looking a bit sorry for itself. All twisted wires and a bit frayed because the garage hadn't disconnected the connection before unscrewing the filter, hence twisting the wires.

Could be the same for you. Have a look for electrical connections at the bottom of the fuel filter.

Some fuel filters have sensor for water collected on the bottom (for warning light).
