New Laws On Window Tints

Is anyone aware of the new laws on window tinting?

The old laws Used to allow 35% light transmission on side & rear windows, Apparently a revision to the law in late 2003 states taht there is to be no reduction of light transmission applied forward of the B Pillar!!!

Is there any truth to this ?

I have a had around on the net but can`t find anything official to substantiate it.

I had my windows tinted this morning 50% blue all round. looks great on my blue Yaris

The law is right though, 35 is the max but our police have visited the guy who did mine and they have passed the 50% blue off as ok!

I'm happy anyway!

Can they be tinted all round then??

No they can't. Use an imaginary B pillar. ie. Front door windows forward must not have any tint at all
