This works out at just under 22 MPG, which is in line with our vvti auto. We can get it up between 25 & 30 MPG if driven with care or on a long drive. These are not the most economical cars (!!) but, in my view, they make up for that in lots of other ways, e.g. ease of use, reliability, reasonable servicing costs, etc.

Hello Yvonne and first of all a big welcome to the club, aka loony bin

As stated above the autos are heavy on fuel and can range from the low twenties to the mid thirties depending on the conditions under which they are driven.

I have an '01 Jim an '02 and Mic an 03 model.you would have thought by the time your motor came out they would have done something to sqeeze out a few more MPG

Is there such a vehicle as a 2010 VX.....? Surely that was a 2004/5 type nomenclature? i.e a 4.2 Rav.....?

The GX and VX labels ended when the face lifted 4.2 was introduced in late 2003. After that the 4.2 was labelled XT2, XT3.

I am sure some one will correct me if this is not correct.

Yes there is something wrong in this description: a 2010 would be a CVT and would give much better mpg.
