Please Help

hi everybody hpoe someone can help me. i have a corolla 20Diesel 1999 it has been with toyota main dealer now for 2wks but still they cannot find a cure. the car was driving down road when engine mangent light cam on and engine stopped. turn ignition key to crank position engine fires and although startermotor is running will rev release key to normal running position and engine cuts out, if i hot wire car through starter relay engine runs no problem car is not showing any fault codes any surgestions would be greatfully recieved thanks
