1998 Corolla's

Hi just wondering, 1998 corolla's, which type are the quickest and in what order? E.g. SR, G6... etc? i have no clue :blink: just wondering if a corolla engine will fit in a starlet?

g6r and sr have the same engine (4a-fe). its got 109bhp at 6200rpm. only difference is that the G6R has a six seed box

the G6 has something like 85bhp (4e-fe)

As said before the SR and the G6R have the same engine. Though the G6R does go better because of the 6 speed box. Have a look on Fensport's web site and grab the 2nd hand 6 speed box they have. 6 speed Starlet 1600 would be great fun

When you want a different engine in your Starlet than buy a frontcut with a 4E-FTE engine its a 1300 with aTURBO :thumbsup:

However, the 00 facelift model is different. You dont get a G6R but the SR has a 6 speed gearbox.

So a facelifted Corolla SR has the 6 speed incase this is a buying option.
