How fashions change.

When,in the dim and distant past,I had white estate,my mates called it a blood wagon,a kitchen appliance and many other things I had best not mention here.

I cannot for the life if me understand why anyone who isn't a police officer want a white car!! Sorry and no offence but I just don't get it. Forget hiding or showing dirt and all that.... It comes down to IMHO that white cars just look like police cars.... Especially non-metallic.

The biggest advantage I can see is that some day when people realise white wasn't soo cool after all, there will be million of top of the range white cars for sale for £5. I'd buy one then!!

As I said... No offence. But living with the Yah's in Edinburgh you see some hideous colour combinations.... Like the white Q7 with proper black racing strips running from front to back (over the top)!!! Awful looking thing... Oh and 72" pimp black alloys!!!

Well........if you get black,mud from off roading shows much better than on white......lol

Not that the new 4.4 will be any good off road :(

Only joking......i reckon it could look really " sharp " in white...very nice.

It's meant to be excellent offload so I've been told!!

White = Todays fashion

Silver = Sensible and classic

Black = Clean for a day

I have to say I saw a new one in green thought it looked rather good, certainly was different, you don't see many in green.

I thought it looked good also... saw one in the blue as well, and liked that..

They were on a transporter lorry I went past a few weeks ago on the M5...

Is the blue & green the same as the Hilux colours ?

To me the toyota web-site doesn't show them in true likeness..

Ah, me thinks, got it in one, and oh to have the choice. Buy the colour you like, sod fashion or convenience, BUT hummmm, the decuma grey does look good, and its probably a mix of black and white anyway!

you are right Liz, they had a blue in the local showroom and it is a lighter blue than the Mica blue they did have, so to me it looks blue not black this time.

I like the grey, green and blue, shame I am not looking to change for a good couple of years yet :)

I have owned a white car and currently own a black subaru so I know that the subaru when clean and polished looks the dogs danglies, but it looks hellish when it is dirty (not very often I must add) where a white car can be dirty and not look so bad. Your colour choice will depend on how much effort you are willing to put in to keep it clean. Black also shows up swirls, but that can be kept under control with the proper washing technique (two bucket method). Anyone looking to care for their car properly should check ut the Polished Bliss website. Hope this helps.

Right, car ordered in................ WHITE.

Colour choice is, of course, down to personal preference.

Had 5 black cars over the years so know the pro's and con's.

My thinking is that black is easy to clean but shows the dirt very quickly, white may be harder to clean, but wont show the muck up as quick.

Anyway, like I said, colour chosen. Happy with MY choice, can't wait to have to update my profile !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
