It can't hurt if you buy a new (used) car to run some through the system, surely?

i gonna have a vocation trip (900 kms one way) and wanted to buy toyota stuff and mix to consume full tank and burn out all possible deposits.

but honestly - something stops me in fact cos the engine runs like a new with good fuel consumption.

Why not try some of that BG244 diesel treatment some ppl have used..
I just ordered some from Amazon @ £25 a can.
I've seen a few members on here rate it highly..
I'll let you know the results.

Toyota have their own product which is good, we also use a product called Tunap which is also very good, it will not harm the injectors or running of the car

Kingo

You could try Kwik Fit as they sell it too and maybe cheaper.

Igor, we have a little maxim over here - 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. I'm sure you have a similar one..................

the people here complain after contact with the tank inner surface all residues have become as floating mechanical weights cloggging both primer petrol filter unit and after fufrther the injectors -- a true prortion is available. for the same reason i am too much concerned not to spend nights in the fields and waiting for pick up service. from the other side -- i never use bad petrol but only branded -- may be the risk is minimum. but MrT service manager did not tell me negative effects either due to does not know or just wanted to sell this stuff.

Igor, I`ve used all types of diesel additives inc Toyotas version in all the diesel vehicles I`ve had/ still got and never had any problems, I`ll guarantee you won`t either.
