Volvo Unveils Cyclist Alert-And-Brake Car System

Cyclist swerves around a drain cover. Instead of allowing the driver to safely steer around the cyclist, the car slams its brakes on. A bus, closely following the car, caught out by the sudden maneauver hits the back of the car pushing it into the cyclist who is squashed flat. Meanwhile, the bus, careening off the car, swerves across the road taking out a few other vehicles and ploughs through a queue at a bus stop.

Result: In order to avoid damaging a cyclists back wheel, the car has caused an accident which killed half a dozen kids and assorted adults. Explain that to the insurance company.
