Verso-S Sales In Europe

Hi,

I am from portugal. I have just noticed that the Verso-S is no longer on the toyota portugal website. It is still however in the UK toyota website. Anybody have some more info on this? Are they updating or discontinuing the model?

PS - I know it is made in japan and for this reason the finish must be superb, but must make the car expensive.

Toyota must have a minimum sales volume for each model in each country - where a particular model doesn't meet sales expectations in a particular country, it gets dropped. Late last year Toyota stopped sales of the Urban Cruiser in the UK - still on sale in Germany and France.

The Verso S is indeed made in Japan and is very well built

I suspect that Toyota does not make a massive profit on those sold in UK.....but they have sold quite a lot of them despite the fact that they have not been actively advertised here like the Yaris

Sales in the rest of Europe, particularly Holland, have been quite successful

Have you checked with your local Toyota dealer in Portugal to find out the situation?

According to official registrations, in all of Greece, from 2011 until 2015 when it got discontinued, it sold exactly 96 pieces. That's low...
