Avensis Bad Idle When Walm

So

The avensis has started doing weared things over the last month or so when the car is walm the idle is dropping to 300-400rpm when stood but them goes back up to 750 ish vertually straight away it feels like the engine is going to cut out everytime it does it. This problem happens every 30 seconds or so.

It allmost feels like when my old nissan air flow sensor needed replacing could this be the issue here or is this normal on an avensis

Can air flow meters be cleaned or not?
