I think it was a bad idea for Toyota to stop selling Previa from UK Market, looks like this was done to sell more Corolla Versos.

Previa was indeed a very popular MPV and Corolla Verso simply cannot replace Previa. What a mistake from Toyota? The Australian version of Previa named "Tarago" looks cool

Toyota should consider bringing back Previa here in UK along the styles of "Tarago"

Think the problem with Previa and Avensis Verso sales in Europe was that the market leader Ford Galaxy/VW Sharan/Seat Alhambra and the later generation Galaxy were aggressively priced and heavily discounted. The two Toyotas were seen as more premium products, couldn't compete on price, and the subsequent low sales margins led to Toyota withdrawing from this market sector.

Also the emergence of the 7 seat versions of the smaller Touran/Scenic/Verso/etc, would have eaten into sales of the larger MPV's.

Given an option, I would say that the 7 seater Previa is lot better, spacious and not claustrophobic when compared to the 7 seat Verso. The 3rd row of seats in the smaller versions (such as Verso) are really cramped and only suitable for little children.

There seems to be a fundamental problem with positioning of Previa by Toyota here in Europe alongside Verso. As you can see this seems to be a geographic problem (just in Europe) when Toyota sells its equivalents of Previa well in US, Japan and in Australia.
