Bolt Fell Off...help To Identify It Please?

Hi All,

Missus was driving home today, see heard a thud and found the attached on the road, nothing else.

Any ideas what it is?

I wont be able to get to the car until this evening to check, but if anyone has any ideas what it or where to look that would be much appreciated.

Looks like a rubber bush in a cup washer on a broken bolt - just don't know where from though.

(I freaked for a second on picture 3, "bu**er me, its bigger than her foot!" - it was on a glass table!)

Are you sure it fell off your car ?

Maybe she just ran over it and it bounced under the car.

That clean surface looks as if it has been sawn with a hacksaw to me. Have you had any steering/suspension replacement work done recently?

Nope, no work done recently at all.

Look like its sheared off.

Ive not seen it myself yet, but neighbour think it looks like the rear anti roll bar drop link??

Might have sheared if bush has worn and anti roll bar putting pressure on the bolt itself?

Will check later on.

A drop link end from somewhere would be my guess.............

Correct Dave, it is one of the rear anti roll bar drop links - a fairly common complaint.

I hope you are wearing the brown shoes and not the pink ones Smiler???
