2.2 Dcat Verso - Smoke , Laggy, Head Gasket Too ...ive Had It

Hi there

A very sad state of affairs and getting a lot of run around from the Mr T dealerships back in Germany where the car has been serviced over the last few years .

Verso from 2006 and white smoke emanating from back of the car was reported on regular occasions certainly back in 2010-11 but given the usual firmware updates, look at EGR valves, new CAT . Nothing on head gasket was mentioned back to me !!

Have been in the UK since last week and had another smoke problem (on top of that have reported laggy and smoke issues through 2012) So popped round to the local dealership here ... they have had a look and have confirmed it is head gasket failure of course they did not do anything else ( as German registered car passing the problem back to Mr T in Germany) .

Now of course any chance to get the work done under any type of warranty(good will) is way over and am sitting at about 136K miles

Cost to repair head gasket or scrap the car ......Not very impressed with all the run around. Was there ever an official recal notice or notification sent to dealers about these shoddy parts on the Diesel engines
