Well I bit the bullet and placed an order for an Auris HSD earlier. Now I'm like a child the night before Christmas waiting for delivery!

It is the Excel model with all the toys except for the sat nav and is expected April 12th. Also got a Yaris Trend for my wife, that comes next week.

After the bad attitude from the local dealer manager, I rang around other dealers in the area and agreed a deal with Premier Toyota at Llandudno - deal complete and order placed with 2 hours of initial call, well impressed.

So after 10 years with Honda, we have now joined the Toyota family and look forward to a very happy relationship

You will not regret getting Toyota. I was in our local dealers this morning and all the owners waiting for their cars to be serviced were stating how pleased they were with them. Happy motoring.

I picked up my new Auris HSD on 1st March, exactly the same as yours, ie Excel without satnav - so far very pleased with it, definitely an improvement over the previous model (although that wasn't bad!)

Hope you will be happy with your new Auris, I'm on my third Toyota and never ever had any problems or faults with them. Also owned Honda before Toyota. I have a gen 2 Auris Hybrid at the moment and it is a great car.

Just collected my 3rd Toyota last week, Prius in cabernet red, had to wait a while to get that colour, not seen another one since I ordered it back in November, but def worth the wait, its gorgeous!

She should be at the dealers now waiting for her bling to be fitted. I think it is going to be Wednesday before I can pick her up.

That is the eclipse black, it isn't a brilliant photo in fairness and doesn't do the car justice.

I've only driven her a little bit so far, not even done 200 miles yet!

I managed to get 73mpg out of her earlier over 25 miles of mixed dual carriageway, national a roads and town driving.

I'll do a bit more of a comprehensive write up on the first impressions etc in the next day or so, and get some more pictures up. Watch this space.
