Firstly, hello to all, I'm new to this forum so please excuse me if I'm going over old ground, (or just being thick) :boxed:

My question is, after 'upgrading' to the Aygo Ice rather than the Aygo+, does it really not come with Speakers in the back doors. I find it hard to believe that a '4 speaker upgrade' only consists of two in the front and two in the dash. Maybe I should have asked earlier but the brochure shows Speakers in the rear doors. My son is gutted !!

The brochures have the usual disclaimer at the back stating that the manufacturer has the right to changes specs, etc, and that some of the vehicles shown may not be to UK specification - common amongst all manufacturers.

The enhanced audio system of the Ice includes aux-in, usb and bluetooth, as well as four Speakers. Presume what you have is two door Speakers plus two tweeters?

The 360 degree interior image on the Toyota website is based on the Aygo Ice and also shows rear door Speakers. Best go back to the supplying dealer and raise a query, and, if possible, look at the inside of another Aygo +, Ice or Fire to see where the speakers are in those.

Thanks, I might pop in next week and have a good look at their demo car, I think that was an ice too.

The old Ice (pre the upgrade) had 6 Speakers - two dash, two door and a tweeter in each front pillar. Have they not got the tweeters now? I know the Fire has a somewhat different arrangement.

TBH, if you (or your son) care much about sound quality you'll be upgrading the system anyway - it has sod all bass - so don't expect too much from the stock outfit even it does turn out to have 6 Speakers.

When you go to a concert do you sit facing away from the stage?

Then why do you want / need Speakers in the rear? Upgrade fronts, dash (4") ones definitely, but the front door (6.5") Speakers are fixed to the door card which is weak, so will never give out anything decent, also limited mounting depth (dont forget theres a window behind the speaker) doesnt help.

The 2012 Ice comes with two tweeters in the dash and door Speakers in the front doors. I found the sound pretty poor and lacking in bass.

I went to my local car audio specialist and got them to fit a sub under the passenger seat. The difference is pretty significant and I can now enjoy my music. The sub has a dial fitted under the dash so I can change the amount of bass.

I would recommend you explore this route before thinking about replacing the existing Speakers. The in-dash tweeters are completely different to older aygo models and the way the system is set up is different too and it isn't easily possible to replace the tweeters in the dash, for example.
