what is your recomendation on spark plugs used ngk on the nissan told they were best for jap cars

I'd stick to genuine spark plugs from toyota

I believe the normal choice is Denso but I have had mine replaced with NGK Iridium plugs and they seem fine.

have ngk in mine ran 100%...just bought a set of denso plugs on eBay for £8.00 same ones in toyota is £29.99!

just had time to look for these and guess what they wont fit mine :-( went on eurocarparts they have denso but the price is £75 - 20 percent not happy and will be on the hunt for cheaper ones

do they have to be irridium plugs because thats all i can find + on the rocker cover on the engine it says use only irridium plugs?

I used NGK Iridium plugs and they were about £35

Its worth paying for decent plugs - but not overpaying. They are the heart of the engine and over their life (10k miles?) cost very little per mile. Pay you back in fuel economy in no time.
