The good news is yesterday I put a deposit down on a nice mk2 MR2.

One owner from new, full main dealers service history, nice black leather T top :D

Means I can drive a nice car to work thats powered by the proper wheels and is not a ford.. but does not drink fuel like a supra!

Wooooooohoooooooooooooo Getting her on weds can't wait!

The bad news is on the way up to santa pod in the supra after putting the deposit on the '2..... the bottom end went on the M40 :crybaby::crybaby:

Bugger. it will not be on the road again this year.. however I have already sourced and made negotiations on a replacement 2.0TT car.. thats been badly smashed but has a mint engine/turbos/gearbox.. new breaks and shocks.. and Tems and a digidash!!!!. transplant time!!! can polish up all the bits I missed before too :D

Woooooohooooooooooo

See you all at JAE in the MR2 :)

I'm all excited... then 10 seconds later gutted and sick as a parrot!!!!!

I have now managed to destroy 3 supra bottom ends

I can;t work out if its a REv 1 or 2  help!! I am guessing with those wheels its a 2? has an uber short gear lever too.. the ones had longer ones right??

It's a Rev2 mate

Not only are the wheels a give-away, but so is the strips along the doors - they are slightly tinted to match the rest of the paintwork. A Rev1 would have had plain black strips and a Rev3+ would be colour coded B) . As far as the gear stick goes - I am pretty sure they were all one length. And judging by the plate it's an early Rev2.

Nonetheless it looks mint! Happy driving! Watch the rear end tho - it is a *bit* more tail-happy than your Supras!

I miss mine :( I want it back :crybaby:

Sorry to hear about the Supra, but I bet it'll come back bigger & better than ever.

2 looks cool, you modding it?

Cheers Garrick!!!! Thought it might be (hoped!) :D

She looks clean....

The bonnet and bumper were respreyed due to stome chips about 5 years ago and they have faded.. bit annoying, but apart from that its mint :D even the leather has not gone at the bosters (creased, but not worn through)

AS for modding...

nothing planned

but I'd not mind wheels.. ice... maybe an exhaust and induction... tints..... clear front lights are a must tho!!!!

We can't have 2 cars the same at JAE B) (but I have air-con).

I am going to have to make an extra effort to make sure mine looks better :P

Hope you enjoy the car, please be gentle with this one.

Yes mine is a rev 2.

That aircon was really nice this weekend, just ask Garrick.

I cannot make my car shine more than it did last year, so you might win.

air con .. I know someone who has one laying about .. not too hard to fit either from what I've seen on mine ..

air-con woulda bin nice, the 2 gets quite hot neways on motorway journeys as it is!

a weird thing about the strips, mine came with colour coded strips... maybe the previous owner changed em?

ah well!

Or it was resprayed

As you say, aircon saps power - Ask Nicola about trying to pull out in front of someone on the weekend :P And also as you say Zero, it adds weight

And I don't normally like aircon either - it dries out the air around you and is not healthy - but it is refreshing when it's scorchio, scorchio, scorchio :D

I wouldn't worry too much about the fading... It's quite comon for the front bumper to be slightly faded or even look a different shade all together. When I was looking for my '2 I saw very few that didn't have faded fronts.

I'm not worries I can tell the car is straight :)

driven it a bit more today... lovely.. very nimble.

About to change the headunit and I have no idea how to get the facsia panel out.. I guess pulling out the ashtrey will reveal screw holes??

hot on motorways? oh oh. lol not tried it yet. think I'll seriously look into retro fitting aircon, I like the dried air effect.. I hate muggy ness!!

You have to remove the ashtray and a screw above your left knee .. pull out the gear surround and then the whold dash comes out ..

Pop over to Reading and I'll give ya a hand ..
