I have a 2001 Yaris SR with the standard TTE Springs which i beleive to be lowered 30mm .... not v.sure.

Just wondering if it is possible to fit 17s on without much problems or would i need to change the suspensions as well ..... i am just worried of any rubbing especially if i have 3 at the back and any other modification to the bodywork (arches etc).

on 30mm drop you will get scrubbage when you hit a pothole and i will scrape with folks in the back

Well it did that on mine without it being lowered. I added Grayston Coil Spring Assistors to the back wheels and it totally sorted the problem out even with the car fully loaded.

My question now tho is if I were to lower the car, I wonder if the graystons would still protect the wheels?

assuming its not lowered then you should get minimal problems

should get away with it then bar the extreme cases of fully loaded with folk and then hitting a pot hole

may need to look into Grayston Coil Spring Assistors then ......

any idea where i can get ? as i definately do not want any scrubbages as where my gf lives - the place is full of speed bumps and potholes !!! :crybaby:

Hmm... mine's hardly slammed (Koni claim -40mm over standard) but going from 15x6 to 15x7 has incurred the wrath of the scrubbage god on both rear tyres... :(

also remember to take into account wheel offsets. Anything like 35mm and they are going to cause headaches. on 17's I think a 40mm offset would help a lot when trying to keep them away from those arches
