Side Window Trim Loose - T27

Hi,

Avensis T27 saloon 2009.

The chrome trim where the bottom of the glass meets the metal of the door (both driver's and passenger's) is loose at the front six inches or so. It pops back up if pushed down. I assume it's a simple case of pull it upwards to remove to see what's wrong/missing but any tips on how to do it without bending/warping the trim? Any input on what clips should be there etc welcome. :)

hi mate i had the same problem on my 53 plate t2 when i first bought it in 2007 i put up with it for quite a while but every time you closed the window it popped out again strange it only happened on the front eletric windows on mine(back 1s are manual) i went to local mr t to be informed that new trim would be needed at £55 + vat each side but the fitter i spoke to said run some supergule underneath the bit that comes out then leave to dry for 24 hours did that on both sides its been ok every since about 4 and a half years hope this helps you cheers
