Samsung Galaxy Ace 2-Toyota Will Not See Contact Address

My 2012 model Toyota Avensis has their Touch and Go satnav/phone system. The
car on bluetooth can download the phone numbers and names of all my
contacts no problem, so it can understand the alpha numerics of the
phone, however the satnav is supposed to be able to use the contact
addresses in the phone book as a destination, but, it seems the satnav
cannot see/read the addresses. It could on my old Nokia phone but not
the Ace 2 and I do not understand why, are Samsung and Nokia using
different systems that is causing the problem?
According to the Toyota website the Ace 2 is a compatible phone for the car. I am at a loss as to what to do or try.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Alan.

Hi Alan,

This is an Android issue and if you google 'android bluetooth car phone book' there are various articles that pop up. The old Nokia symbian is very reliable and so is Sony Ericsson, but some recent Android phones do not seem to have all the protocols.

Have you tried Samsung forums or android? Maybe the Touch and Go needs an update to support more of the features.

Sorry I cannot help any further

Hi Konrad.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will give it a try. I have posted on the CNET Android forum but have not had any positive responses.

I am slightly annoyed as after checking compatibility and reading many reviews and with Toyota website giving the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 a big green tick on the Phonebook, I find it seems to do only half the job! You cannot afford to buy and try these phones at £100's of pounds each until you find one that works properly!

I will take the car, phone and laptop with Toyota 'Touch and Go' program installed to the dealers and see what they have to say.

Many thanks

Alan.
