Has anyone replaced a V6 with 4 cyl? What 4-cyl would replace

the 3VZ-FE V6?

Huh? Aren't you going the wrong way there? :D

The 22R-E was the other option for Tacoma and 4Runner/Surf stateside.

Then they were replaced with the 5VZ-FE and 1RZ-FE.

Personally, I'd go 1KZ or 3L-T myself if I was to lop off two cylinders. But I'm a

diesel guy.

Are you trying to get better mileage? Or are you a victim of the 3VZ-FE

headgasket issue?
