Mr2 Cuts Out When Cold?

Hi all

i have a 1994 MR2 Rev 3 , its very easy to start and fires up with no problems at all however for the first 2-3 mins of running without the accelerator pressed the revs drop and it will cut out (always starting imediatly with no fuss), occasionally its hesitates upto about 2500 rpm again only when cold and within the first couple of minutes running, a full rev through the range stops hesitation. After a couple of minutes the car stops cutting out and idles fine at about 800/900 rpm? no smoke or funny sounds.

would appreciate any ideas as to where to start looking, i have noticed that it never idles high as you would expect with a choke for the first few minutes of running?

Did you ever get this sorted? Or do you at least recall how? I'm having the identical problem!
