The bottom end is gone in my engine, there is a serious clunk at over 3000rpm, is it safe enough to drive, i need to pick up bits for the transplant. Whats the worst that can happen?????, im not bothered about the top end, will it keep driving???

Probably the worst thing that could happen is that it could throw a con rod which could smash its way through the block. If you drive like an old granny it will probably be ok for several hundred miles but you could damage the crank beyond repair in doing so.

Ya man, just been driving it, it doesnt sound too bad, im not bothered about the crank as im just gonna replace the engine, the gasgets alone are almost the same price as a second hand engine from the scrappers.
