The trims on the Prius were supposed to make the wheels more aerodynamic and improve fuel consumption

Personally I prefer the without trim look!

Aha...I thought they were there to protect the alloy wheels from scuffs, cheaper to replace a trim than a wheel! Learn something new every day :)
