Hi everyone, keep seeing old topics with relation to buying coilovers from the states. Does anybody know the name or website that makes coilovers for the ep91 starlet. I need suitable springs as well to get the car as low as poss. Anyone know how much a full kit costs and low the car will go. Cant afford the £1000 tein so want a more affordable soloution. cheers guys toby

your obviusly wanting to dump your car onto its *****!

have done bit of searching around on eBay..

these coil over kits will fit your car and will dump it onto the ground...

they are purely biased towards looks not handling and will make your car bounce all over the place......

with these kits u can keep your origenal shox..but id advise u on getting some sort of uprated versions if u dont want them bursting on u.

they will definatly fit your car as they are the same struts

well those kits a cheap aint they!thought that sort of thing would be alot more money. well i am looking to lower my car soon cos i guess it is gonna sit abit higher when i put me t sport wheels on. What would you guys recommend for lowering?just springs??30mm or 40mm???

Like Geo has said for looks get one of those kits dump it on it's :censor: and put up with a terrible ride. Or i'd go fensport springs and Koni dampers as these will lower it nicely and it should handle well.

cheers guys, I want it to look good but without sacrificing performance. Im getting some coilovers from aimsmal so my problem is sorted. Thanks geocool for sourcing the coilovers from the states, they almost seem too good to be true! toby

the best compromise between looks, performance and longevity would definitely b lowering springs and NOT coil overs. Coilovers cause too much stress in the struts and frame and have to be realigned everytime u lower or raise the car. The ride will also never be as good as a decent set of lowering springs. This is all holds true with the exception of ONE coilover system... the tein HA.. simply the best

with our cars we won't have to worry about reallignment to bad as the hondas. if you're set on coilovers and you want them to ride nice. expect to pay starting around 450$ USD to 900$ USD for the right adjustable struts to accompany the coils. i've had both and i love my coils over the springs i have now. they handled like a dream but the ride was horrid because i had them on factory toyota struts instead of the koni, gabs, etc. i will be getting some adjustable struts in the next 6 months. by then i can ditch these kyub's gr-2's and the dropzone springs i have.
