I have just bought a 2010 Prius tspirit, would like to update sat nav, dealer quoted over £200! Can anyone advise if there is a cheaper way, and does the existing sat nav show speed cameras? If not will an update give this info? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum, Michael. I hope you enjoy the car. If you search the forum you'll find lots of tips on how get the most from it.

The satnav update price is about what others have reported on the forum.

The 2010 sat nav doesn't show speed cameras. I can't say if the update will or not.

Not a lot of information there i'm afraid - hopefully someone has actually got the update and will give more info.

The Toyota satnav in the 2010 Prius can only be updated by the dealer with an expensive cable.

The satnav software and data is installed on the hard drive and cannot be updated via DVD or suchlike.

Things were different in the USA and elsewhere.

The facelift Prius (2012-) has the Toyota Touch and Go system which can be updated by the user.

On the plus side, the 2010 Prius satnav is integrated with the HUD.
