Lo guys long time.

Today i was driving out from college and something bad, and i mean bad happened underneath my bonnet

all of a sudden the car started making a terrible rattling noise and keeps stalling, the car will not idle without going below 1000 rpm ne more and after about 10 seconds it stalls ne way.

whats the problem. Help me !

personally i dont think its worth the time or money for fixing this problem so i really dont know what to do

I've had rattling before, but it was a heat shield on my car, and that wouldn't cause you to die. I'm guessing something with the intake? when I installed the ram-air on my seo, i replaced the stock rubber with some cheap :censor: silicon tubing, and that kept squeezing shut and making the IAT think that there was NO air entering the engine. That's my postulation.

Have you been tooling around under the bonnet, or is this out of the blue? also, check and make sure all of your sensors are in the right place, but i think it's something with the intake.

My car stall out on my once or twice while sitting at a red light..and my car idles wierdly.Like it would be idling at 1000rpm, then it would drop to 300rpm, then it would rise to 500rpm and it would stay there, then it would occassionally stall out on me....new sparkplugs maybe...???

I've got a 5E-FHE engine which could be fitted if required. Either fully with ECU and a bit of rewiring for a smidge more power, or using Paseo sensors, injectors and ECU.

Jecto your car should have the the 5EHFE already, straight swap, go for it!

A used, average km 5E-FHE normally sells for about £ 400. I presumed yours had a 5E-FE engine.

5E-FHE engines were available with either 2 plug or 3 plug ECUs. I've never seen a Sera with a 3 plug ECU, but the Paseo seems to use a 3 plug ECU. If you've already got a 5E-FHE then it would be plug and play.

The other alternative is 4E-FTE...

my current engine is a 5e-fhe, this is because i got a import cynos B.

so how much would u like for the engine inc part x if possible ?

and where bouts are you from so that i know where i would pick up from.

I'm in Norwich

Part Ex value of a possibly scrap engine would be very low. A scrap 5E-FHE engine was advertised on eBay recently for 50 quid. No bids.
