:help: I have a Celica convertible (import) and want to fit a single DIN radio/cassette housing that bolts to inside of dashboard, the part you slide the radio cage into. Where can I purchase one of these???

Youve confused me! ...cant be THAT much different from mine.... you shouldnt need the cage at all - just screw onto the plates you take the double one out of surely. Its usually the connectors thats the problem with imports

but am sure someone will know

What stereo make do you have? They are all manufactured to a standard (hence DIN) size and I havent had any problems with any toyota I've put a head unit into. The plates shouldn't be too narrow????

You don't need a single cage.

I have just removed a double DIN unit and replaced it with my single.

Go to Halfords or a decent sockist and get a pocket that will fill the gap, this has brackets on it which allign to the two brackets which held the double unit in.

Your single head unit then just screws onto the upper half using the screws that held the double DIN unit in place.

Halfords will then supply the relevant wiring looms to convert from the Jap wiring straight to your head unit, easy!!!

All the best, Gaz

PS Any probs give me a shout.
