My Comps Crashed

my comp just crashed and i have lost everything all my mp3s !Removed! everything fing things. and please do not go on about backups etc not in the mood

erm what kinda crash was it m8?

did u reformat & reinstall?

did u attempt a recovery prior to this?

it would not boot up so i had to use the recovery disc it couldnt restore so i had to do a system recovery no format but i cant get into my old documents says its protected

Don't worry too much about the !Removed!, mate.

Just open up a search engine and type something in. Anything will do here. Badgers, TV Repair tips, cardboard wholesalers etc. There's sure to be a link to some !Removed! found in the results. :thumbsup:

right click on the files then check security settings. go into advanced and change all owners etc to your current user, proving its an admin type account. then del the old user from these settings.

basically u've just xfered over ownership of these files to the account u have now.

i'm assuming ur using winXP here...

nt/2k should be quite similar as its based on the same security architecture.
