Belt Tensioning Bearing ?

Just thought i would ask the question,i have this rasping noise from ( only on cooler morning starts ) that lasts for about 1 mins ( for about the first mile of driving ).Then its goes quiet.

Toyota said it could be a hydraulic bearing on its way out that takes up the tension on the belt ?

Just in case it is,any idea what costs i could be looking at,as they may look at replaceing it on this service, whilst they have that part of the car it bits.

Could be the belt, under post-startup extra load, when the alternator has to work hard. While it's making the noise, squirt some water (WD40 is frowned upon) at the gripping-side of the belt, or at a pulley surface, and if the noise disappears, then it's just belt noise. Live with or replace.
