Gen 6 Convertible Buying Guide

New member here looking to buy a Gen 6 convertible and so after info on what to look out for. Some posts on here suggest they may let water in - how common is this and are there places to look for water when inspecting a car? What spec did UK cars have in comparison to Japan imports? Some cars seem to have power hoods and others manual - was one type standard and which, if any, is more desirable/sensible? What else should have been done, eg. Belts, etc, or, if not, could be a point for price negotiation? thanks in advance.

UK cars have leather seats, long rear no. plate. A lovely super reliable 3sge twin cam engine if it's been looked after. as for letting water in got to be monsoon weather , check rear hood glass/hood, at the front door pillars it's usually the drain hole blocked up in the screen pillar rubbers (just rod out with coat hanger). all have power tops.
