Toyota Personal Leasing

Hi,

Just wondering if anybody has experience of leasing a car from Toyota?

I'm trying to decide whether to keep the car I've got for another year and then trade for another 2nd hand one. Or trade it in now for a 1yr old car on a lease agreement.

Currently have a 2008 Avensis 2.0 D4D TR with Nav and Protection Pack, in Black, 100,000 miles. Had a new engine and clutch fitted at 73k. The A/C is broken (needs Compressor, Rad, and Drier) the clutch master cylinder is starting to squeak (again) and the rear brake caliper needs replacing.

I'm a bit reluctant to spend money fixing it up because at that mileage how long will it be before something else expensive gives up?

Quite like the idea of leasing, but at the end of the lease if you decide to give the car back you are left with nothing. At least with a car you've bought you have some value in it. Unless it goes bang then it's worth nothing. Also with a lease car if something gets damaged you have to have it fixed if something gets damaged, a stone went through the radiator of my car which is why the A/C is bust, but I haven't had to pay out and get it fixed whereas with a lease car I would have to.
