Going to be purchasing one of these as a second car, wondered if there are any easy audio upgrades without having to cut anything up or play about with the doors. Can the Speakers be swapped for superior ones and head unit upgraded and possibly a subwoofer under the seat? What are the simple options? Not looking for anything crazy just clarity and some bass.

The older Aygos have Speakers and head unit that are easy to swap (before 2012??). The newer Aygo has a different (Pioneer) head unit and some other Speakers. Both are difficult to change due to the harness complicity. So are you buying old/used or new Aygo?

It will be a 2007 one, so I can just swap the Speakers and head unit, will the improvement be significant?

Yes! I swapped front 4" with Hertz4" and the door 6.5" with Sony 6.5". Even sound proofed the doors with bitumen while I was there. Changed the head unit too. All of this is described very well in various Aygo, Citroen C1 and peugeot107 forums. There are even u tube videos. Just search via google.

Thanks for that. Should be picking car up early next week, big change from 3.2 V6 Audi TT but much easier to drive and park in central London!

My own car is a BMW E91 and don't ask me why I like driving my wife's Aygo more! Aygo is good for short journeys and inside town. Longer motor way journey can be tiresome if you do not sound insulate it. But that is easy too. There are lots of information on that in the internet. Aygo is an easy car for a DIYer. Good luck..
