Gen 5 Cab

Hiya all, hope everythings fine and danddy and the birds are singing (sun shining etc). Im looking to purchase a celica cab. I was wondering if any of you who own one would be kind enuf to fill me in on all the niggling little problems you've had and what i should look for as im sick of buying duff motors, Cheers guys Dan

I have a H reg black Gen5 Cab -

- This car is outstanding - worth every pennie spent without a doubt; it looks cool, drives just as good as the hardtop .....

Niggling problems are;

..Quite noisy when doing 70+ (but all cabs are),

..Top end good but acceleration a tad dissapointing - You have to wait till 4K Revs before you notcie the pulling power

..The seals arnt the best in the world when the rain starts to pour !! - Nothing too drastic, although on the motorway the dripping builds up on the areas where the clamps fit to the roof - this also means that the areas around here are quite liable to rust !!

..The seats in the back are somewhat of a joke ! - unless you are about 5"1 and weigh 5 stone it will be a tight squeeze to get a car full

..Speedo will be in KPH as all cabs are imports - UK version didnt make production

Best bits are;

..Electric roof is outstanding - good quality and very efficient

..Handling is quality

..Roof down, passenger and driver seats folded forward - sit in the back and you have youself the best deckchair in the world. BRING ON THE SUMMER :D

..Good seats

..Good value for money with a sound 3SGE engine

..Personally I think this is the best Cab you can buy on the market under 10K - makes those sissy MX5 drivers look sick

.. The only cab you can drive around without getting comments that you own a hairdressers car.

Get yourself one now mate before the prices go up in the summer !!
