Autogas

I drive the new avensis T spirit 2.0litre. With the cost of fuel (thank you Mr Brown) driving 30k /year the advantages of using autogas are quite clear. I have seen kits available for the Toyota Avensis but has anyone experience of using Autogas??

LPG seems a good idea.

I have driven a 2000 1.8 pre vvti avensis and it was fine to drive no power loss at all but we did have problems with the air mix oxy sensor? friends of mine have mondeo's as taxis with LPG and also have simlar problems!

I know the company i used to drive for have had the LPG removed now after 2 years messing about with it so id look into this abit further!

I swear by AutoGas in Toyota's. Been on gas since 99. It's all down to the Installer. Bad Installer = problems. Good installer =

apparently you will lose power, up to as much as 15%

The 2.0 litre 1AZ-FSE engine is a direct injection. I am a bit concerned about the durability of the injectors running on LPG on this particular engine. The LPG runs slightly hotter than running on petrol which might damage the injectors.
