Spring Has Sprung - Or Has It...........................?

Need a little help from any 4.3 owners.

Whilst cleaning the interior I noticed that one of the grey moulded plastic covers on the rear seat sliding machanism is missing. On further investigation, with head under seat looking for it, I happened to notice that one seat has two 'clock' type springs, presumably for the seat folding machanism, whilst the one with the missing cover has only one.

Can anyone confirm if each seat should have two springs?

They are towards the front of the seat attached to the frame.

Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for that Adrian.

So I'm not apparently missing a spring then. Is there a cover on each seat track?

No you aren't David. I first thought I had one missing on my 10 plate RAV but checked with shcm. This new one is the same. Just some bits of black felt stuck on just to make it look unfinished!!!

Thanks Don. Wonder why it's been left like that then?

I was thinking that it may have been forgotten when I had some warranty work done that required the rear pasenger seat to be removed.........
