Im looking for a 1993 Paseo strut bar. Anyone know a website that carries them??

Posted

The strut bar that fits the 2g fits the 1g, so you could search for either one. i know Si has an OMP strut brace, I have a Freedom Design FU Strut Bar, and I know Whiteline Flatout makes one as well.

if u still cannot find one, 91-99 tercel strut bars also fit perfectly

Yea i'm look for a strut bar for a Sera in uk?

any ideas on price's and does it make a difference

im not sure if sera's are exactly like paseo's and tercels, but as far as prices go, it doesnt make a difference. cheap strut bars and expensive strut bars do exactly the same thing. mine cost me $25 USD shipped... cusco ones are like $110 USD w/o shipping. they do the same shizit

cool

have you noticed an improvment? or is it more for show?

it really did make a difference.... my car used to shake doing 70 miles/hour on the highway. Since i have had it.. no shake. Makes the steering more responsive as well. its not worth spending over $60 USD on these bars, however. they are simply to easy to make to have to pay 100 bones for one... for 60 dollars u could haev one fabricated.. custom=pimp

There is little room under the bonnet of a Sera. It has to be a very flat design. The standard one from a Starlet Turbo, won't fit. It bolts on fine, but you can't shut the bonnet.

cool cheers mate for the advice

i might have to have a one click accident :D

so it will have to be a custom on then?

Cusco do strut brace for the Sera, but its best to ship several over. Depends if anyone else wants one.

So, a Tercel strut bar could fit in a 93 Paseo, without any bonnet problems...????

Posted

yep. you gotta watch out in the rain, though, as it stiffens the frame so much that your car will have a tendancy to slide. though it helps in the dry, the wet can cause problems.

 I can agree to that! & it exposes bad tyres as well (like mine)!

Thanks for that info.

I will be ordering a '93 Tercel strut bar this weekened...i just want to know if it it'll fit without having any bonnet problems?

Posted

nope. shouldn't see any problems. Si's looks like it raises more than mine does, and he doesn't have any problems, so i'm sure you'll be fine. what brand did you end up going with (out of curiosity)?

I went with 2k Racing, their strut bar cost $45.00 and they have free shipping.
