but having read the results as written up from Alan on priuschat, running out of fuel is not an easy option for a hybrid owner....

once upon a time almost a fairy story, but not quite) cars used to have a second fule tank of 1-2 galls which was ccessed by a dash switch..cars also had leaky quarter lights of course, and would regularly break down from points/plugs/distributor etc

carrying a spare can was also an option, but not anymore

so while in Spain, I will take the Kingo sensible option and top up when availabe

I get fidgety when mine gets down to two bars and start looking for somewhere to fill up. I've never seen it as low as one bar. I don't trust fuel gauges that much and it's not worth the risk as far as I'm concerned.
