Hello,i recently bought a 2004 toyota avensis 2.0 d4d.The engine temperature gauge is not working.There is a small sensor on the top left of the radiator.I ordered the coolant temperature sensor from my local store but when i got it it doesn't fit.The new sensor does not plug in.I just thought that the guy ordered the wrong part but when i looked it up on the net he has ordered the correct part. Im confused atm and would like some help.

I may be being a bit old school here but I thought temperature sensors were mounted in the engine block.
