Rev Limit

Hey all!

Jus wondering does anyone know how i can up the rev limit on my Starlet SR if it is at all possibble? Im sure that she can take 7,000RPM easily!

heres how to chip your 5efe ecu to increase the redline. don't know if its the same for the 4efte.

i dont know if its just my starlet but at idle it redlines at 6000 rpm but in 2nd it redlines at 6900 rpm. a bit weird. try it

Ouch. I'd hate to be your engines. There is no need to rev the engine this hard - you're just in the wrong gear.

i was in the wrong gear at the time but the engines can take it as long as there looked after and mine is !(serviced every 6k)

Unless you're modding things like cams, valve size, intake/exhaust length/diameter, head port work etc, there will not be much gain in increasing the rev limit. Your power peak is already well before the rev limit, beyond that the power starts to tail off.
