Hi, here is a prototype of a Maths KS2 program aimed at 8-10 yr old and big kids like you, if you (big kids do not get 10/10 then you must go back to school)

any way sit with the child (if it not your child then you must have a witness for legal reasons) and watch them

Looney Tunes less than 600K

I would be greatful if you could answer the following questions

Age

Name

Town

Did they get bored in 10 mins

What level did they go upto in 10 mins

Was it too hard

does it look good

did they use calculator/pen & paper/claculated in their head

there are no instruction on this version, was it easy to use?

did you try it out on youself, whas thinking of put a background music on, but dont know if its distracting, oh and Ive got to make the same thing in director aswell

didnt really see a need for instructions, so thats good.

maybe a bit more graphics on the game selection page?

and as for the bgm yeh i think it will be distracting!

cheers but I need to see it from the kids point of veiw, not even if I have have quier music during the game, gonna put some musice on the menu setction and might put some animation on that page

i wouldnt mind helpin u out m8, but i've got **** laods of work to do & i only have 2 weeks...

gotta do this director crap, write server/client software, write sum graphics stuff that displays fratals mandlebrot, ifs fern and sum other graphical stuff. a massive HCi project ( that's in for a week). then i gotta do huge reports on all these...

makes me wonder why i NEVER start nehting early, lol

Couldn't do brackets (so some of the equations were mad) .. and the screen isn't wide enough for some of the answers ..

And also when it asks yout o get "0" and 0 is one of the numbers it's a bit easy .. :)

yeah I know about the cheets, like if 5 is the targert and 5 is in the options, that can be easly fixed,

so Ive not sorted out BOMDAS its just doest left to right, which bit isnt wide enought (the target box?)

yeah .. some of the equations go right off the edge and you can't see when it puts in the "=15" or whatever .. a slightly smaller font should do it ..

sorted it, changed it from single line to multiline, should of done that first but now it might say

1+2+3+4=1

0

so now it will do it like this

1+2+3+4

=10

damm wanna upload the 2nd version its 2meg, hmm, will have to check which server has no users on

Well seeing as the application of Multiplication and Division has no impact on the result (Division is just multiplication by a number less than 1, greater than 0) .. same with Addidtion and Subtraction (subtraction is just the addidtion of a negative number) .. you can do DM or MD .. and AS or SA ..

It's just how ya remember it.
