erm can't rem the assignment method off hand but to make an image transparent ya select it, go into its sprite menu, then select "backgroud transparent".

as for the assigning, ya gotta assign the sprite(image) via its sprite no. to the button in a script.

i'll try and dig up the code in a bit, a bit busy atm :(
