Verso-S Discontinued

Toyota announced today that Verso-S is to be discontinued in the UK with last orders for factory build cars being taken up to 20th July citing low uptake of the car since new Yaris and Yaris HSD was introduced.

Not surprised. No matter how good the Verso S is it doesn't seem to have. attracted much interest - hardly see any examples on the roads around Birmingham. Being built in Japan must be expensive as well - something the Nissan Note and the Honda Jazz being British built don't suffer from (although the 2014 Jazz will be built elsewhere. - possibly China).

Shame Toyota didn't introduce the Ractis after discontinuing the Yaris Verso -which would have provided some continuity.

Presumably discontinued for much the same reasons as the Urban Cruiser.

That is such a pity.......Toyota never really promoted the Verso S in the UK compared to the New Yaris :(

I have just traded my Verso S in after 2 years and purchased a Yaris

I got a premium trade in price for my Verso S as there is currently over a 6 month wait for a brand new one from Japan and good low mileage examples attract a good price

My Verso S gave me 2 years of comfortable and reliable motoring and had many features that my new Yaris does not have......Just little niceties like front footwell lighting and auto door locking etc

My new Yaris, however is a great replacement
