Clunky Clutch

Is there any reason why a clutch on a M reg Corolla 2.0 XLD would clunk so much when changing gear?

I thought it was just my mum but I drove it and had the same problem, when changing from gears its a struggle to find the gear & clonks when it goes in. Maybe a gear box change?

Yup, clonky with & without

I think it could be the box mate ;) Though its hard to tell, it could be the gear selector. Best to take it to a mechanic to test out.

How many miles are on the clock??

Took it to a Toyota specialist & he said it was the driver, but it's not! She may be a woman but I drove it & it clunked it a few times.

The gear selector would make some sense
