Hi all,

Just purchased a 54 plate Yaris 1.0 , as a second car to run around !!

It had a sticker in the windscreen that said "MADE IN FRANCE" does this mean its less well made as a Japanaese made Yaris ?

Anyway , i love working on my own cars , I had a P0420 code on the yaris " Catalytic converter below threshold Bank 1 " and fail MOT on CO content high,,,,, , I have tested the o2 sensors , MAFF and now just removed the CAT to clean using a hot Citric Acid bath ( google it) , in the hope it will re-generate the precious metals.

I am going for emissions test tomorrow !!! fingers crossed !!!

Hello Paul - welcome to TOC. Toyota has been manufacturing the Yaris in France since 2001, and makes the majority of Yaris for the European market. Last year Toyota decided to move production of the Yaris for North America to France as well.
