Rav 4.1 Leather Seats ?

I do rather like leather seats and as the "chairs" in the RAV are getting a little worn I thought it would be nice to maybe change them for leather ones.

As far as i'm aware the 4.1 didn't get leather for any versions of the 3 door, so do any other seats fit front and rear or would I have to look at just getting the seats done by some specialist (and no doubt prohibitively expensive)?

Hi Fella,

unless you can find some after market ones on eBay ( Hoovie found some brilliant ones for his 4.2 at a sensible price ), a specialist is just about the only option left to you. I asked about this service for my brother a short while ago and discovered that it would cost about £1200 for a complete re-upholster in some nice black leather. It is a lot of money but if the motor is due to reside with you for some time it would make a very nice facelift. At the risk of suggesting you spend even more money, while you have the covers off the front seats you can very easily fit woven carbon seat heaters for about £60! They are wonderful on a cold morning or if you get into the car in a frozen state after a session outside.

From ancient fading memory, you can find a spec sheet for the Mk1 RAV. This shows one model had Leather interior as standard. Don't know whether 3 or 5 door though.

If you’re going to the expense of fitting leather seats, believe me seat heaters are an absolute must, and well worth the extra charge.
