Hi all,

I am just after some advice on replacement alloys and Tyres for my Corolla Tsport. I want to improve the handling and looks, if possible without lowering ( Warranty Reasons ). I have been thinking of going for some 215/40/18 on 7.5 Inch Rims. What d'all think?. Is it Imperative that the car is lowered to improve handling and how will this affect the ride quality?

Thanks in Advance

I've got "only" 215/40/17 but without lowering the handling is equal as with the 16". (perhaps a little better ;) )

For better handling you must lower your car.

TTE springs are not that expensive, ask your dealer...

As to tyre choice:

17" - 215/45/17

18" - 225/35/18

will keep your speedo going fairly correctly... I would reccomend getting it lowered and 17" wheels, you will still save the money by not taking 18" and TTE springs will do wonders for looks, besides that will still make it reasonably comfortable...

You have to also consider that getting bigger and heavier wheels and tires will significantly slow down your car, so take care when picking wheel/tire combo..

Spwolf,

I will most probably go for the 17" and 30mm TTE Springs and install within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for your feedback.
