Ok... I get what I can only describe as a rattly type noise. I'm more or less convinced that it's the passenger side window.

Anyone else heard of this or know of a solution ??

Could be a number of things:

1. The window regulator components could be worn, allowing the window mechanism to move.

2. There are some fabric clamps (behind the door panels) that push the window up against the seals. The clamps are secured by a bracket attached to a bolt. The fabric might have gone, or the clamps could need adjusting.

Whatever the reason, you will need to remove the door panel and take a good look. Then you should be able to find out what the problem is and order the parts neccessary to fix.

Taking the door card off is dead easy but watch out when taking the switch control panel out.. I managed to snap one of the clips so it doesnt sit flush to the card anymore. :ffs:

Have a look at my ling in KarmaSupra's post about his door .. there is a guide to taking the door off ..

There are little brackets that keep the window tight .. may need adjusting ..

i recently adjusted my fabric covered brackets jim. its a 10mm nut and u just push the whole bracket forward, preferably using a screwdriver to hold it in place while u re-tighten.

adjust it a few times with the window in various positions to find the best fit.

be aware that the window will be considerably tighter and a bit slower to wind up, also, as my glass is now further away from inside the car, and pushed further out to the outside of the car there is more wind noise now getting in.

still beats the horrible rattle as u go over bumps though

and like jappy says watch out for the door card internals, my !Removed! window and mirror control unit wont fit right anymore! :crybaby:
