Rav4 Heat

Hi,

I am new to the TOC but hope someone out there may be able to help me out. I own a 2000 Rav4 Heat and have been given a nudge bar for it but with no mounting brackets you can see the bar in the attached photos so if anyone could tell me who the manufacture is or where I can set some brackets I would appreciate it.

I have been to three local fabrication firms but none of them were interested in trying to fabricate any brackets they all said it would be too expensive - can't see this myself.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Without knowing the maker this is a difficult one. Generally the Toyota stuff will fit on existing bolts and or brackets. If your donor knows the make, then you may be able to source some parts.

So try offering it up to the car and see if there is any way it can be fitted.

I know of at least wan insurance company who will not insure your car with that on......it is a Bull Bar by any other name in their eyes, capable of imparting increased damage to a third party car or property. The "nudge bar" fitted to most Ravs is plastic and chromed aluminium......think twice times before fitting, John.

The early 4.1s had an option of a so called nudge bar or bull bar. Mine had to be removed as the round bar rusted badly. From memory there is fitting /mounting points for thse but you may well need to get someone to make them up, although its not much more than flat bar. Have you maybe tried an agricultural engineer as they tend to be more adaptable ? I think the bars got fitted in the UK as an extra pack option. Just ask about til you find someone who will do it.
