Any one know if these things work?

Saw it on e-bay £16.00

Performance modification Kit (GOLD Tolerance). This is the new upgraded version of the kit that others are selling on eBay. Other sellers are just selling the regular timing kit. We are now offering the new upgraded GOLD Tolerance Performance Chip. Do not over pay for other cheap imitation kits that other sellers are offering. We are the only one's on eBay selling this higher quality GOLD Tolerance kit. Our kit comes with pictured instructions and the fuel/timing advancement Modification.

All vehicles have an Electronic Control Unit (ECU)—a computer chip that electronically manages and monitors your car's performance. That means that your car could go faster and get more power if you replace the ECU. This could cost Hundreds. This part will modify your stock ECU with a timing advance chip. This simple, yet effective modification will allow you to boost the power output of your vehicle's engine, without sacrificing reliability or comfort. It consists of a small electronic device that will be inserted between one of your car's sensors and the ECU. This is also known as a 'piggy back' device as it is external to the main processing unit (the ECU). You will feel the gain instantly, no fooling around or expensive tuning necessary.

Don't waste your money...

It just confuses the ECU and makes it run on its cold start setting which alters the fuel / air ratio. Its basically the choke setting that anyone whose had a carb engined vehicle will remember.
